Hello everyone. This is my first tutorial with Gear s so I hope it will help someone.
What do you need:
1) Gear S
2) Charging cradle with USB cable
3) PC running Windows (because windows is only OS I know XD)
4) Odin 3.09: http://ift.tt/2bvLkYh
5) supported firmware downloaded from here: http://ift.tt/2bvOlTo (it is just on you which one do you pick, but it must be supported in the root thread)
If you have everything downloaded you can proceed to the tutorial it self
Step by step firmware changing guide:
1) Unzip downloaded software
- you should end with one .MD5 file and one .dll file (I am not sure, if the .dll is needed)
1) Open Odin 3.09
- Here you have to Tick AP, click on AP and select your .MD5 file
-you should start to see something like this (wait until it says leave CS..
3)Untick Auto reboot
4) Enable USB-Debugging on Gear S
- Settings -> Gear Info -> USB Debugging
5) Put your gear S into download mode

7) Click start and wait till it is done
- when it is done you will see this
8) Reboot you Gear S
- hold home button until the screen turn's black
