Unlink Bluetooth volume control marshmallow

Hi everyone,

after multiple trys for finding something towards the mentioned topic, i want to ask the xda community:
Is there any way to unlink bluetooth volume from androids media volume in marshmallow in CM or AOPS based roms?
The problem is for example while listening to audiobooks in the evening. The lowest volume is just too loud.
Roms from multiple manufacturers (Samsung, OnePlus, HTC) have marshmallow roms and the volume levels are not linked to each other. There must be a way for powerful roms like cm or derivates of it.

Any suggestions?

No mobile data and unknown IMEI after flashing ARHD

I've successfully flashed ARHD, and I have bootloader unlocked with S-ON

After booting and trying to use the phone, I don't get signal and my IMEI appears as unknown.

Some info that might be useful:
Phone bought in Mexico, Telcel.
cid HTC__332
Bootloader unlocked
S-ON
ARHD installed based on Android 6.0

Get ya stats out :D

Since upgrade to official MM and a immediate factory reset after, battery is no longer a issue..
I can completely forget the battery...
Yesterday , I took my phone off charge, after its first full charge after upgrade..@11.00 am , that's 21.30 hrs and still 35% left, moderate use.
Approx 5.30 hrs screen on time and approx 4hrs to go ;)

Bluetooth Disconnecting After Phone Call

I have the Tmobile Variant.
My setup is Plantronics Voyager 5200 (call audio only)
Logitech UE Megaboom (media only)
What? After making a call the music doesn't play on the BT speaker but plays on phone.

How? I have Pandora playing, I received a phone call or make a phone call and sometimes getting a notification from Hangouts too, somehow drops the MEDIA ability of the speaker and it reverts to my phones speaker. Even though I still see that the BT speaker is connected. I had SoundAbout on, so I disabled that, it still happened. Outloud as well.

Right, so as the title says, here's TWRP 3.0.2 For the GT-S7270 variant of this device.

Prerequisites:
A custom recovery already installed, I suggest Philz touch (Since this is a recovery flashable zip), XDA thread here
The Recovery, download here

Install Instructions:

1. Download the zip file and copy it to your SD card.
2. Reboot into recovery mode (Philz Touch in this case)
3. Go to install, find the file and accept.
4. Restart recovery
5. Ready!:D

Is your autofocus in normal camera mode(16 mp) rather slow?

Mine is. Even slower in low light no matter if the object is close or far the autofocus would lock-focus in and out couple times before it locks on the object and when the object is moving, it often miss and renders bad results. Is yours behaving the same?

I currently have a Gear S2 3G and I'll most likely upgrade to the Frontier Gear S3. My major reasons are:

Only 2G on SIM1 now

For the last two or three days, my RN3 has only been connecting to 2G networks. I understand there can be issues with this in SIM2 slot (which I experienced last week), whereas SIM1 should work fine.
Anyway, after moving the sim card from SIM2 to SIM1 last week, I enjoyed 3G networks for a few days, but now it's been on 2G only. I've tried several reboots in the meantime, and the phone was off and on as well, nothing helped. Is there any known way to resolve this? I'm running latest stable CM13 (and the only other issue since day one has been no front cam).

Able to boot into ww194 but not recovery and bootloader

Hi Masters, developers, gurus, gentlemen and women

I tried my best searching the threads but no solution.

I am able to boot into phone, surf net etc., BUT i cannot boot into bootloader and recovery.

Phone is detected as adb in Windows. I tried to adb reboot, manual volume up plus power and so on but cannot boot into bootloader or recovery. Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I lost my root now.

Ps: i was on ww194 rooted with twrp and bootloader all working. Backside itchy that i flashed latest official MM in twrp. The phone went looping for a few times and went back to twrp. So i twrp restore my phone. This is how i am strucked.

After trial and error and keep trying with lot of errors finally got this puppy working, backups 19 Partitions from your device, i don't know if the A2017 (chinese variant) have the same partition table but as far as i know and have seen the A2017U and A2017G does have the same partition table which is awesome for any Rom developers to work on things or any dev.

Steps:

1- Download the zip file from here 1CLick_Partition_Backup_v0.1

2- Decompress anywhere you want (i prefer in the root of drive C: )

3- Make sure you have enable USB-Debbuging

4- Plug your Device

4- Double Click 1click_PartitionBackup_by_DrakenFX.exe and watch the program run

5- When Done your Partition Back-up will be in you C:/a2017u_partitions_backup folder

6- DONE

This is just the beginning i may be adding more Options like Single backup or group backup.

NOTE : I'm not a savvy when comes to dev. but if i can do something that can help other do things a little easier , i'll be around :o :)

[Request] Bricked LG-K540(crickets ls775) Lg Stylo 2: Need cust. rec/stock firmware

I have the LG-K540 (lg bridge shows it as LGUK750), it's cricket's version of the LG Stylo 2 (lg ls775), and I rooted it with kingroot, used the terminal script to switch to supersu, updated binary (failed), updated supersu after it failed to update binary, and it said successful, now my phone is bricked at the cricket screen. I can factory reset, and boot to download mode, but little good that does with NO stock firmware ANYWHERE.

-LG Bridge says update available but fails right when it starts the download, packet sniffing with wireshark returns only one http request and it is a redirect from cmsg.lg... to lg.com with no url to the firmware
-No stock firmware available on ANY WEBSITE ANYWHERE..
-No custom recoveries for CWM/TWRP for either the ls775 or k540

It's absurd, there's like 10 ways I can unbrick my phone, but they require firmware, or a custom recovery, or a functioning update tool... and none of them work.

If anyone can pull the firmware for me, or point me to a custom recovery, it would be much appreciated. If I can pull the ROM or rec img from download mode, let me know and i'll post it here.

SMB/CIFS slow transfer rate

Hi,

Anyone noticed that the unrooted Note 7 transfer rate is very slow on SMB/CIFS (network sharing). Copying from a SMB server is around 200 kb/s. I usually get 3-5 mb/s on my Note 3 and Note 2 but both Note 3 and Note 2 are rooted.

A solution without rooting the phone is appreciated.

Screen ghosting LG G4

Hey guys,
Yesterday I noticed some screen ghosting on my LG g4 on the top right where the battery icon, signal status etc are. I turned it off for 6 hours and noticed it got slightly better then i used an app which stimulates all the pixels on the screen for about 8 hours by flashing different colours. After this all ghosting went away but after i used my phone for about 2 minutes it made a new ghost. Please help me fix this permanently. I am currently using the same app with the intention of keeping it on for a full day.

Battery life twice as long on wifi vs 4G

Well it sort of explains itself. Battery life on my Samsung S7 is about 2 days with my usage when connected to wifi. When I shut wifi off and only use data I get a max of 1 day .... the battery drain is significant.

I am pretty sure that this is a android bug, because this is the second mobile I am experiencing this battery drain with.

Use to have a Sony X3 Compact and bought the X5 Compact cause I loved the battery life so much. Much to my disappointment the battery life of the X5 was about half that of my X3. I even experienced it draining a full battery and switching off during one night. I of course was convinced that the X5 must have had a defect battery and got it changed. It didn't help and after getting the device changed for a brand new mobile with no better result I demanded my money back.

So know I bought the S7 and the only thing I can pin this problem on is the "phone radio bug" that exists on the newer versions of android. My HTC One Mini and Sony X3 Compact running KitKat have normal battery drain running 4G. My HTC X5 Compact and Samsung S7 handsets are just going through the battery like crazy on 4G even though they should have much superior battery life.

It amazing how many people have this battery drain problem and yet there is absolutely no sign of any official statement on this to be find on the internet.

Please ..... anybody have any experience like this.

Greenify doesn't recognize Xposed Framework - an old problem returns

I just started seeing a problem that I thought had been fixed - and now I can't seem to find a solution myself. I had previously had Greenify working happily with the Xposed Framework, but now it has stopped doing so. Every time I enter the Xposed-based Features menu and try to enable anything, I'm taken to the Xposed Setup Guide screen, with only the "ACTIVATE MODULE, REBOOT" button enabled. This in turn takes me to the Xposed Installer; clicking on "Framework" tells me that Xposed framework version 86 (previously 85 - I tried updating but it didn't make any difference) is already active. No amount of rebooting, cache-clearing, or re-flashing seems to help. The problem appears to have re-appeared within the last week or two (I'm not sure exactly, since the only way to know there's a problem is to go into Greenify settings and check). Here are the details of my setup:

Samsung I9300
Cyanogenmod 6.0.1, 26 August 2016 "nightly" version
Greenify version 2.9 (I signed up for Beta within the last 24 hours - but I don't see any indication that I've received any Beta updates)
Xposed Installer 3.0 Alpha 4
Xposed Framework V86-sdk23-arm

The only thing I see in the Xposed log that seems at all helpful is this:

Loading modules from /data/app/com.oasisfeng.greenify-2/base.apk
File does not exist

Anyone have any ideas about what's going wrong here?

Cm13 storage problem!

Hello everyone!!!!! Three days ago I flashed an unofficial cm13 rom on my device. Of course there are some annoying bugs but there is one strange bug. I HAVE ONLY 1.45GB INTERNAL STORAGE!!! When I saw that I couldn't think what could 'eat' the rest 6.5gb of the internal storage... Does cm13 uses 6.5gb when it is flashed???

Screen turns off after the first Samsung splash screen

I got a refurbished Verizon S5 today. It was running the latest Verizon software (PF4?). After using Odin to flash stock tars, the phone's screen now stays off after the first Samsung splash screen. After the normal amount of boot up time, I can hear the normal keyboard sound effects when I tap on the screen but the screen stays off. Sometimes I can get the phone into recovery but most of the time, the phone says "recovery booting..." and then restarts. I can almost always get the phone into download mode. When the phone is plugged into a charger, the grey battery icon shows up and then the phone restarts.

Here's a chronology:
I got the refurbished phone in the mail. I turned it on and checked the cid. 11 :(
I used Odin to flash G900VVRU2BPB1...tar.md5. It hung on the red Verizon screen for over 30 minutes so I pulled the battery and let it boot again. Still hung. I used Odin to flash PD1. Went into recovery mode and cleared cache and factory reset. Tried PF4 and PD1. It was around this time that the screen started to go black during and after boot. Tried the debrick image on a SD card. Tried PB1.

My next step was to use Kies to reinstall the firmware but I can't find the S/N. The S/N is not under the battery. The imea does not work as the s/n. I'm downloading adb to see if I can pull the s/n through it.

Any other suggestions or ideas? Is this my first brick? Could this be a hardware issue or did I screw up the firmware/boot image somehow?

Help with Encryption Unsuccessful

Hi, I need help with my huawei p9, when I power up and the system start, a screen says Encryption Unsuccessful, and that I should do a factory reset for resume using the phone. I do the cleaning in TWRP and I install fRomFuture - NewWorld V4.1, the installation is performed without errors, but the message remains.
How could resolve this situation?

xperia sp stuck in doomlord kernel

hi guys i triec to install stryflex rom on my xperia sp using dommlords kernel ...i did wipe cache partition, dalvik cache and wipe data/factory reset ...... and then installed .zip fie......it installed properly but when i rebooted it ...it booted to original xperia rom .... later i repeadted the same but this time i wiped system also ...and installed zip file this time also it installed properly but its stuck in doomslernel ....nothing happens ..... unable to get it in fastboot mode also....if i restart the phone i can enter cwm recovery from doomkernel ...... please help .... trying for the first time...

Is there any respite from a fraud company like Huawei?

I have a Nexus 6P which I bought about 7 months ago. It worked fine for about 3 months, but then the WiFi started giving problems. The WiFi icon will all of a sudden go grey and there is nothing you can do to turn it back on. This has happened several times and the only option you have left is a factory reset. But there is no guarantee that the factory reset will fix the problem either. Sometimes the factory reset will restore the WiFi connection, sometimes not. I have had to send the phone back to Huawei twice for RMA and each time the phone was returned to me with the message that the technicians could not reproduce the problem. Of course, each time I received the phone, the WiFi was working and I could setup the phone. I wouldn't be writing this post if that was the end of my problems. The same WiFi issue has occurred again and now Huawei is refusing to do any further repairs on this phone claiming that they have done all necessary testing and there is nothing wrong with the phone. I can say for sure that there is something wrong with the phone because there have been times when even a factory reset will not fix the problem. I am attaching a picture which shows a blank WiFi screen after a factory reset with no networks visible. This screen is the first thing you need to get past after a factory reset and as you can see from the picture, there is no where to go but back as the front arrow is grayed out. I have updated my phone to Android N and still the same problem.

I will be sending a formal letter of complaint to Huawei management and giving them notice that a Breach of Warranty lawsuit is coming unless they resolve my problem. I have contacted Google tech support and they have been unable to help also. Any suggestions?

Turning mobile data on and off in Tasker

Hi,

I would like to create a tasker task to turn the mobile data on and off.
I tried using the command svc data enable (disable), but it does not work. However it works in a terminal emulator. In tasker a red light is displayed when I trigger the task. Im rooted ofc (and in the tasker task the root privileges checkbox is also ticked in). I also tried Secure settings, but it says that my phone isn't rooted (intresting...).

Any ideas how to make it work? Could something be wrong with the root privileges? Im on stock OxygenOS 3.2.4.

Creating a Substratum theme

Hello, I'm really wanting to start to try to create some Substratum themes. Unfortunately, any bit of programming has only been with Node.JS. I found that the Substratum has a guide here, but I'm getting stuck on it. For a example, if I build the app straight from the source code, it works. If I do Step 1 and 2 in the guide, it says that "this theme needs to be rebased on the new theme template" and then another thing about binary. Could anyone help me?

Battery drain on Nougat when Bluetooth is enabled

After upgrading to Nougat, I found that my Nexus 5X's battery drained much faster than before.

I did some testing and discovered that Bluetooth was responsible:
- with BT enabled, the 5X loses about 5% battery per hour, simply sitting there on the table (WiFi and Mobile enabled as well)
- with BT disabled, it's <2% per hour (WiFi and Mobile enabled)

I only use BT in my car, so usually BT should just be idle.

Any ideas would be much appreciated! :)

Hi, all

Currently I am living in Seoul. I study here as an exchange student, and I have recently attended a G-NEXT Game Jam about a week ago.

One of the games that stood out for me was the game M.O.G.I.
M.O.G.I. is a game that is probably inspired by the current heatwave in the city and the resulting mosquito's. (it's like 32 degrees here everyday, lol).
You play a mosquito, who is trying to suck the blood out of the humans, without getting killed. If you successfully survive the night, you will start a new generation.
I managed to get 5 generations before I got a game over screen.

When your in Korea, definitely check out the indie scene here. It's quite amazing and the people are friendly too!
Just had some Korean BBQ with a few of them. I even met someone from XDA, but I can't remember. Hope you got home safe :)

White Screen in Recovery MOde GT-S7262(Help)

hi,I am new on xda ,i have samsung duos GT-s7262 and i rooted it through kingo root using Pc. it was working fine and then i tried to install CWM recovery in it using odin and flashed successfully.When i press home button+volume up+power button,my phone a red exclamation mark appears on top right corner the it screen goes white i can't enter recovery mode i tried a number tricks but they didn't worked:
1)edited build.prop
2)unticked auto-reboot option in odin and flashed many times,odin showed pass but still there was white screen in recovery
plz help i am here with great hope as i heard that Xda is the largest Andriod community in the world.

LG G3 F400S Tutorial needed

Hi, I am new to xda-forums so please pardon my lack of knowledge on using it.
I am using LG G3 F400 S and it is running stock android 6.0. I want to install (any) custom rom in it. Earlier, I tried to Root it using kingroot, and install TWRP using autorec, but ended up bricking my phone (probably because of using wrong version of autorec). I managed to unbrick it using a tutorial on the xda-forums.
I am trying to search for a tutorial for installing custom rom on F400S (running MarshMallow) but can not find any. Would someone please point me to the right direction here?

Micromax android A1 - Format all+Download SP flash tool

Recently i have used SP flash tool for flashing Micromax Canvas a1. I flashed successfully. But i am unable to start the OS. So once again i done "format all+download".. But now my phone completely dead:( .. Please help any one how to write NVRAM files (including factory logo and imei no).. But still i am able to flash the mobile using SP flash tool. [ASK] Failed boot of OPPO R1001, get bricked? I can't even go to CWM Recovery

Hi, guys
I'm done with my phone, I hope one of you can help me..

My phone get stucked, I tried to reboot my phone but something's happen, it was stuck in OPPO's logo for while. Then I tried to wipe data/cache and valpik but it can't mount it. I already try to flash another ROMs with odin, sptool, adb, and ect but it won't work. Now I can't even go to the CWM Recovery, I can't connect my phone to my pc because if I turn on my phone, It just stucked in the logo, then reboot by itself, and so on.. :( :(

Can anybody help me what's wrong with my phone? Get bricked or what? And what is the solution? Thanks :confused:

I don't know why did i do. My phone is freezing after not using it for about 30m

Hello guys, i was trying to install custom rom, and i just unlocked my bootloader, installed TWRP and propably changed kernel or build mb??? I don't know what happening to my phone, after sometime it's just freezing, i m using a "dot when u touch" it's like a cursor after touching phone, and i found out that when my phone is freezing i can see this "touching dot" even if i don't touch screen, it just in the screen, even if i touch somewhere it does do nothing, this little dop is all the time in the same place. I think its becouse of Kernel, i did it in 2015 or 2014, when there was no that much roms and stuff for 64 bit desire 510, im not sure i installed 32 bit kernel or something. I'm going to Ireland in 2 weeks i won't have PC there so i will need to use phone for almost everything thats why i want to repair it.

iOS Emojis on Galaxy Note 7 without root

Are there any solutions for getting iOS emoji onto the Note 7 (in the keyboard and also to display within apps [such as Snapchat, Instagram etc]? I'm not rooted and would like to avoid that if possible so I can continue to use Samsung and Android Pay.
I've spent quite a few hours trying to find solutions but can't find more than the usual emoji keyboards (which show the emoji on the keyboard but obviously doesn't change system fonts etc).
Was anyone able to do this on S7?

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but I'd be happy to pay someone for their time if they have the knowledge to fix this? Am totally stuck and doing all I can to love this phone as much as possible (despite other hiccups, it's been an absolute dream and totally worth the move from iPhone).

I will 7zip the files I use along with a .txt file containing credits and links to were I obtained them where possible. Always assume that anything in there is outdated and can damage your device. ZArchiver is a good app to extract 7zip files on your phone.
I like to hoard old apps. 9 times out of 10 they still work perfectly and are a fraction of the size of recent ones found on the play store.

But I have plenty of experience with Android, Linux and computers in general.
I have the philosophy of "Minus is More" Back in the day the full CM7 zip ROM was 87.6MB and that included a web browser, music player yada yada.. Everything you needed! The level of customization was phenomenal you could really dig deep and find settings inside settings... of settings. In my opinion every rom since then has had less features. I would still be using it if it wasn't for app developers not supporting older versions of android :(
It is my mission to strip this thing back to Bare-bones
And im very interested in what sktjdgns1189's got going on

First impressions

The last phone I got from three had a locked Boot-loader and I kicked off Big time.
Three assured me that this Samsung was 100% unlocked. I made it clear that if I cant do what I like with it id throw it at them. The very first thing I did when I got it out the box was root it and install TWRP so kudos to Three! Apart from a mishap a few years back im more than happy with Three and highly recommend them. I have no signal in my house but they sent me out a home signal box for free!

When I got the s7 edge I was gob smacked by system usage.
I don't remember the exact amount but my pure vanilla back up is 4.57GB



Never had a Samsung phone before... the good points speak for themselves
Here's what im not so keen on..

I underestimated its size. With a case on I struggle to get it in my pocket. I'm 6ft 6 and my hands are huge but if id held it first I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Black phone and it came with a white charger white headphones and a white otg adapter?
Whats up with that lol. The headphone case was black tho :)

I think Samsung was mean with the cable length and with the charging port at the bottom you lose the length of the phone when you point it at the wall socket. Left side low would be ideal for me. The charge cable gets in the way when im in landscape.

Whys the back button on the right? Maybe ill get used to it

Long press back button for menu? I really don't like that and it doesn't work in some apps..
It just closes them -.- wonder if I can map a long press of the home button to do it.

This home screen sucks its laggy as hell.. How can you have a home-screen in 2016 that doesn't support landscape? I don't like my app drawer to swipe left and right I prefer up and down

Rooting

It took me over an hour lol the YouTube guide I was following was telling me to press the wrong buttons. There are plenty of guides out there but knowing this will help.

[POWER] + [VOL DOWN] + [HOME] = Download Mode
(known as fast-boot in the Xperia world?)

[POWER] + [VOL UP] + [HOME] = Recovery

Iv been messing around with a few roms and kernels now and iv managed to cock up a few times
bootloops, stuck samsung logo and once I even got stuck in a weird pulsing vibration mode.
Here's how I managed to recover from these

[POWER] + [VOL DOWN] + [VOL UP] + [HOME] hold down all the buttons for maybe 10 seconds? When the screen goes blank remove your finger from [VOL DOWN]
and it should take you back to recovery (now breath and wait for your heart rate to stabilize)

Sometimes when I do a data wipe I lose root so its good to have flash zip handy

[INFO] Successfully Flashed A2017G B02 to A2017U

A2017G B02 successfully flashed and booted on A2017U (using update.zip). WiFi/Bluetooth and GPS working. Only broken piece is the cellular.

There are a few more color choices in themes but no 'Android Stock' theme. And a glove mode which would likely be useful here in northern Canada.

This should be good news for development as there appears to be only the modem differentiating the ROMs.

Now to see how well I can return to A2017U :)

HTC M9W stuck in boot loop - After supersu install via twrp

I have my phone unlocked bootloader, s-off as it shows in the pick, then went to root using twrp with multpile supersu versions and non of them work, all 3 I tried even after full wipes over and over again keep booting me into the HTC logo screen non stop. Any advice?

My experiences with the SONY customer service for XPERIA Smartphones.
A world company no longer needs to be respectful the end customer respectful and accommodating against endusers.

It's sad how Sony tries at the expense of private customers, to shirk warranty. I have just 10 months ago bought in Switzerland XPERIA Z5 for CHF 798.80
I was very pleased with the phone. After an Android software update, it remained
dark and settled not turn on. Battery was charged, there was no mechanical damage and also the hardware worked up to the update.
It's ridiculous what the "engineers" let out :

1. mechanically defective
2. complete electronics defective
3. defective battery

Now Sony asks Euro 332,54 for repair.
The pinnacle of audacity is the fact that Sony warranty denied by referring to an unauthorized power supply. The European Court has all manufacturers of smartphones prompted to compatibility between the power supplies. Even Sony has agreed to do so. Now Sony can not therefore refuse warranty service yet.

High battery drain for a fresh reinstall 7.0 in idle for no apparent reason

So, on 6.0.1. stock ENcrypted it was like this:

WiFi always on, whatsup, maildroid checking one imap mailbox for every 120 mins (set to wake up the phone), ok google OFF, now cards OFF, backup-ing OFF. Steady about 5% (4-6%) per night.

Now, I flashed factory image 7.0.0. everything stock. Then I flashed boot.img with disabled encryption and formated data and cache. Everything is as it is described above expect for the maildroid has NOT been even installed yet.

23% eaten for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
What even worth, even android itself does not know what it was doing that it ate so much battery because the percentages does not add up for the whole drain.
After so many time invested into this phone for getting pure stock 7.0 unencrypted I just feel exhausted and want to throw this phone out of the window.
I'd appreciate a right direction for figuring out what drains the battery.

Galaxy s7 messanger(sms) wont ask me whether to send a premium sms or not

I unintentionally checked the remember box and tapped CANCEL and now messanger wont ask me for the premium sms to send it or not but it gets denied. Hope u understood.

btw for ur info, premium msgs are those which says something like this after u tap the send button "Messanger would like to send a message to ..." and "this may cause charges on your account" (with the coins logo).

Color Calibration on Exynos ...

... seems to be not as easy as with Qualcomm due to the lack of KCAL support. There also seem to be no Kernels around for Exynos variants where anyone has ever managed to do this (as far as I found out, correct me if I'm wrong)

So far I only found one clue that is not using the usual Color Filters but seems to be changing the RGB values directly ...

In an older review someone reported that this app was working with older Exynos SoCs for them:

Apparently it should also work for Android 6 - as I do not have root yet can someone test if it does work with the S7/S7 Edge Exynos variants?

Otherwise we can only hope for Samsung to include Color Calibration from Android N in their official release (if they aren't to lazy and simply remove that feature)

Bootloop, soft brick?

I don't know why, but for some reason my nexus 5x is stuck in a bootloop. I was rooted running 6.0.1 (MTC19T) when it shutoff and was not trying to update to N as others were.
I can access the bootloader, but not recovery (just reboots). I have flashed other stock 6.01 OTA's which hasn't changed anything. Flashing TWRP again does nothing. Was trying to follow THIS thread, but PC does not recognize phone in download mode. Also, the phone will only stay download mode for about 15 seconds before rebooting. Any advice?

Greenify not working

Hello there! I've just put a CM13 based ROM on my zen2(ze551ml) and I'm having a little bit of troubles with Greenify.

When I open it, I receive a pop-up telling me that "It's needed the authorization to detect and avoid the hibernation of foreground apps" (it should sound like this), with a link to settings which bring me to apps management. (Something like the screen below)





Honestly, I have no idea about what to do. Is there any way to make it work ?

Android emulation internet connection problem

i have installed leapdroid in my PC. Pc is having wired net connection. But while opening leapdroid and trying to open play store, i am finding difficulty with login. it is saying "cant establish reliable connection " and showing connected to wiredssid with poor strength. Issues with WiFi

Recently I met with some issues with the WiFi of my phone. I am using the internet services of Acanac Inc. in Toronto. The WiFi connection is working fine with my laptop and tablet. No HW+ available on Nexus 5x running Android 7

Just upgraded my Nexus 5x to Nougat. MX Player works but HW+ is unavailable. Only SW and HW can be chosen.
MX Player 1.8.6, and the compatible ARM 7 neon custom codec with AC3 and DTS support from this forum. Tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling. What else can I try?

[HELP] How do I get the start and end times (values) of current calendar event?

I want to set up an Alarm at the time the current calendar event ends.
Read the wiki and didn't find an in built variable that stores the end time. Only %CALTITLE / %CALDESCR / %CALLOC were there.

Then I stumbled on to Action > test app feature. But can't figure out how to get it to work. I made this little task to test it out

This is what I tried
Get the end time of current calendar event and store in variable %Time
Flash a message of %Time to make sure value was correctly put in the variable

1 Test App > Set Type - Calendar End(Second), Set Data - %TIME, Store in %Time.

2 Alert > Flash > Set Text to %Time

However, The flash message read "%Time" instead of the end time of current calendar entry.

I don't know what Data meant in test app. I assumed it asked for the time at which calendar entries should be fetched. So I put %TIME to fetch the end time of the calendar entry active at current time.

Also this is what's present in the documentation

No recovery mode, no fastboot, no option to reinstall twrp

Hey folks,

i have a problem with my shieldtablet. The fastboot doesn't work properly. I cannot load anything via "fastboot flash blablabla.img". Minimal ADB and Fastboot just shows "waiting for device" and if i check the devices via "fastboot devices" is just shows nothing but the normal command prompt.

Then i did a mistake and flashed the twrp 3 version with an older one, so i am unable to enter the recovery-mode. If i chose Recovery Mode via bootloader (or if i restart the tablet into recovery mode) it has a short bootloop and then after some trials it starts normal into Blisspop.
How could i flash this without the fastboot? Is there any trick i could use?

The tablet is unlocked. I had several custom-roms installed. Currently Blisspop 6.4 without playstore.

[EU Users] Do you want a Camera 60fps Video Recording Option

So ive been asked by ZTE to setup a poll here to find out if EU users want this option for camera recording by the developers.

I was told by ZTE that the 60fps option did not bring a good effect to the phone and would be buggy so it was not put in whereas it was in the USA version.

Reinstall firmware

I have the 22a kdz, but the software I've downloaded to flash it onto the vk815 isn't working. Would someone please point me to valid files for downloading? I tried the apps to SD hack, and that makes my software modified. That didn't seem to work, and maybe why the 23a update still gives me unexpected SD ejection. I want a clean pure install. I'm not concerned about root.

Nexus 5X - 'Software exception' after 7.0 update

So my Nexus 5X prompted me to download the system update this morning. Everything went as normal, but after it had finished I now get 'Software Exception' constantly popping up on the screen around 30 seconds after the phone has booted. The message appears for a second, disappears, reappears, etc.

I turned the phone off and tried to go into recovery mode, but now instead of my usual recovery options I just get a screen with an exclamation mark that says 'No command'.

Nexus 5X splashed by sea water, backlight turns on but display blank

I was on a vacation on Bali, Indonesia. While I was taking photos of sea waves it got some splash. Since it had a casing, only front got wet so I wiped the front part. The phone was ok at that moment but after few hours I felt lag on touch screen. Then after a day the display went blank. But on a dark room I can see that the display backlight is on.

I tried pressing power button for 8-10 seconds. After doing this the phone vibrates for a second as if it's restarting. The backlight turns off for few seconds then turns on again as it does when a phone normally restarts. I also tried pressing volume down+ volume plus+power button. Similar thing happens.

I have some great vacation photos on the phone which I don't want to loose. I am hopeful as the display is not fully dead. Can anyone please help?

N930F or N930FD ?

Hi, i was just wondering if it would be a difference, talking ROMs field, if i buy a n930fd or a n930f.

Im a freak rom flasher and i always see problems with compatibility with dual sim devices, ill use a single sim and a microsd but i dont know if the roms compatibility is an issue of the fd firmware even if u use 1 sim card or is a problem that appears only when u use 2 sims.

Im tired of waiting the n930f version to come out and i would like to buy the dual sim version but it will be a no no if ill have lack of roms or more issues even using 1 sim.

What is the usual battery drain from using a Bluetooth headset?

STK issue

I recently purchased a galaxy note 2 E250K phone. But it seems like there is either a software issue, or probably it is still locked

- everytime i boot up the phone, i get that annoying OLLEH logo (instead of the galaxy logo)
- when i try and access my vm from the number pad, the number 1 button does not have that voicemail icon, that indicates its a VM button, in addition, when i press and hold the 1 button, it asks me to create a speed dial, not enter the VM number
- when someone calls me, and i reject the call, it hangs up on them, not forward them to the VM
- i have some apps still show korean language, even though i changed the language to english
- i called my cell phone network provider, they have reset my account 6 times, no help

Any ideas of what can be done?

I was told that my phone could be still locked by a contract from the KT mobile provider in Korea

i am in a desperate state right now, since i have been looking for solution for a month now, and i cant find any.

Is there anything i can do here?

USB Type C Headphones

Double tap to wake stopped working

S7 edge duos Phone Call differentiation

However when calls come on whatever sim 1 or 2 I cannot differentiate them.

It's a problem because I don't know if the call is private or pro.

Does droid explorer backup work with Moto g 3rd gen

I have a Moto g 2015 unrooted on android 6 and tried using helium for backup on pc (even though the dev says Motorola has bug which stops the backup) and it didn't work or at least it did backup but on restore it did partial restore on some apps and some apps fully restored, but I want consistent reliable backup without root. So I tried AndroidSDK and did full backup myself which it did. I found out how to do it on here but when I tried individual backup of a specific app as test it backed up but when I restored it said restore started then restore ended but no app restored so I installed droid explorer on my pc to try but as I don't have a way to test it backing up and restoring one app for example I thought I would ask for advice before trusting to full backup

Battery and Performance

I bought the S7 2-3 months ago and it's been the best phone I have used (previously owned S5, S3). However this week I have noticed a couple of issues and wanted to know whether anyone else has had this problem and if there are any solutions to it.

Firstly, for some reason, the charging speed has dropped drastically. Fast charging is turned on in my settings but it's not working anymore? I am using the adapter and wire that comes with the phone. Secondly, the battery life also isn't as good and the lifespan has decreased by a couple of hours atleast. Although the overall phone performance is still very good, I have also seen a fall in the performance from earlier.

I understand with time the performance etc will be affected but was just concerned that having bought the phone 2 months ago, it shouldn't be happening so soon.

Let me know your thoughts and if anyone has experienced the same?
