I was lost on how to enable encryption on this device, as other guides are strictly for Nexus devices. I figured out a way. It's pretty simple. Best part is, no phone data is lost. BUT RESULTS MAY VARY!
WARNING: I tried to do a system-less root, but TWRP couldn't access the data partition because of the encryption. I've seen people say that when booting into recovery, the option to enter the encryption key is there, but i have not seen it. And it's nowhere to be found in the options.
1) First, download the Stock Firmware, I myself am using the latest PD3 build.
Here is the link. Many thanks again, @koop1955! http://ift.tt/28QEPLu
2) Once you have downloaded the Firmware, flash it through Odin.
The phone will do its thing, probably take a while to boot.
3) After the phone is booted, it is now Stock, not rooted.
Go to the settings and enable the Encryption option. Remember, make a strong password!
This could take a while, so keep your device plugged in, and sit back and relax.
4) Once the encrypting is done, you can now Re-root your device. Follow this guide here: http://ift.tt/28QEHvF
Enjoy the peace of mind of a more secure device!
