I planed on going to bestbuy tomorrow and picking up the edge for AT&T since I'm on AT&T already but I've read a few forums saying that all US carrier versions of the phone come factory unlocked and then locks to what ever carrier's network sim you put in it on first boot. My roommate has T-Mobile and also plans on getting one but has no use for root, twrp, etc. My question is if I get the at&t variant and he gets the T-Mobile one, if we don't boot them with included Sims but with each other's instead will the T-Mobile variant lock to at&t and vice versa? We are both financing devices also if that makes any difference.
