I have been having issues since day 1 when installing CM, although this could apply to any custom ROM I imagine. After I flash the rom and get APN settings working, I still have issues when it comes time for the OS to choose which connections to select and it seems it was lost and didn't know what to do. Last night I had an idea, a few days ago I gave up on frustration and went and installed my stock rom. The next day I went to double check my APN settings to make sure I had in fact installed the correct one and then I seen "Connections Optimizer". I soon realized it was an app from Sprint installed with the stock rom. So I went and used APK extractor and loaded my back up of CM and installed the Connections Optimizer via APK Installer then rebooted. I Instantly had the OS selecting the proper networks for me regardless now if I had wifi on or need for LTE. It's been a few hours, and I been sending messages to people and receiving them, seems to had done the trick. I think this has to do with Boost being an MVNO, but I could see this working for others as well. Tr it out and let me know. You can do all the above steps or just use the APK I used for my phone.
