T-Mobile LG V30/V30+ Android Oreo update now available for sideloading

After rolling out on the Verizon and AT&T variants of the LG V30, the T-Mobile V30 is starting to receive the official Android Oreo update. There's just one catch—it isn't yet rolling out via an over-the-air upgrade. Instead, it's available via LG Bridge, however, one member on our forum has captured the KDZ file for you to sideload.

As reported by users on Reddit's /r/TMobile, members were able to update to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo build with the April security patches. The update brings LG's ThinQ branding with its "AI" features as well. One owner of the V30+ reports that they were able to successfully update via LG Bridge.

If you would rather not wait for the update to roll out or can't get LG Bridge to work, XDA Senior Member jonzey231 uploaded the KDZ file for the update. After you download the file, you can use LG's flash tool known as LG UP in order to sideload the update.

Give the LG UP or LG Bridge method a shot and let us know below if you are able to update your device successfully. If it isn't working for you, then it's best to just wait for the official rollout which shouldn't be too far away.
