MX Player is Recruiting Users for a New Private Beta Testing Program

MX Player, one of the most popular audio and video players on the Google Play Store, has had a public beta testing program for a while, but this week XDA Recognized Contributor Thirumalai.K announced a new, private beta testing program for his media player application. The goal of this private beta program is to improve the user experience and stability further in feature releases. If you are selected then you'll gain access to future hot-fixes and developmental features of MX Player while also having direct contact with the developers to give your feedback.

Details and requirements of the private beta test will be listed below and people who are interested will need to fill out this Google form here.

Region: All Regions
Communication Language: English
Communication Tool: Telegram
Last Date for the Submission of Application: 20th Feb
Other Requirements

  1. Good knowledge and understanding of MX Player & It's features
  2. Willingness to hunt for the bugs & discuss the issues with others
  3. More preferable if you are an active member of MX Player community (or any other community at XDA)
  4. More preferable if you have any previous experience in beta testing of any other Android apps.
  5. A valid telegram account
  6. Lot of patience

Notably, MX Player was reportedly bought for $200 million by Indian media giant Times Internet Limited (TIL). The developer of the app has yet to confirm this sale, however.
