As we all know, rooting a Z2 on 23.4.A.1.264 is rather a catch-22 situation requiring a bootloader unlock, which in turn wipes out the DRM keys. Well, today I found a way of doing it without bootloader unlock, without PC.
What you need:
- An Xperia Z2 (only tested on D6503!)
- KingRoot http://ift.tt/1SI4UfE
What to do:
1. Go to Developer Options in Settings and enable USB Debugging and Allow Mock Location. You must enable these options or the root will fail!
2. Download and install KingRoot from the link above
3. Open KingRoot, swipe down and click the button
4. Click Root and wait for 2 minutes or so.
5. You're now rooted with KingRoot!

Hope this helps somebody! Now you're rooted without BL unlock, I recommend the first thing you do with your newfound power is backup your TA partition.
