Big warning regarding external partitioned SD card + use als quasi internal storage!

Hi,

just a big warning: Android (nightly CM13) destroys the data of the COMPLETE SD-Card, if it is partitioned and you choose only a partition (can be seen by the size) in the GUI!!!

In my case I choosed a 4 GB partition created for it, but instead of just using the partition it repartitioned all of the sdcard to GPT. The real bad thing is that after doing this, it seems to overwrite every single byte of the sdcard, so data recovery is simply inpossible. It doesn't even do this with random data (which would be at least cryptocally helpfull), but with 0xFF - why the heck?!

Thanks of a backupped SD-card I've lost almost no data, but it will take me another 3 hours to fix that **** (I had e.g. a complete linux on it which needs to be updated which needs it time on the smartphone)

In my opinion, silently killing the complete sd-card instead of just sticking with the choosen partition is a very, very bad thing.

In combination with all of the confusion with the external SD, the clumsy userland (Abstraction Layer over Abstraction Layer over just another Abstraction Layer) and the enormous misuse of every kind of ressource (Storage, RAM etc.) I'm honestly wondering if it would better to simply try to port a plain userland Linux on it...

Best regards,
Michael
